Gertrude Berg Passes

Posted on 04:07 by john cena

The world lost the great Gertrude Berg in '66. She had been one of the most famous and beloved women in the world as radio and later television's Molly Goldberg throughout the previous decade. A documentary on Ms. Berg was made a couple of years ago and can be found in its entirety currently on HULU.

The Sonny Side of Chér

Posted on 08:37 by john cena

THE SONNY SIDE OF CHÉR was recorded and released in early '66 even as Sonny and Cher, as a duo, maintained a chart presence.
